International Cricket Management League won the Eight Annual Central East Region Championship

The United States of America Cricket Association’s Central East Region concluded it’s eight Regional Championship successfully during the Memorial Day weekend.

Seven Regional Leagues and one regional combined team participated in the tournament. Unfortunately, bad weather and heavy pouring forced to decide few games on the spinning of the coin on the 2nd half session of the first day. Overall atmosphere on the fields was jubilant, apart from cricketers and supporters amassing in Glendale Heights, important dignitaries along with teams attended the games and dinner party held on Sunday at Monty’s banquets.

The CER chief executive, Mr. Masood Chik and his new team of board members did an excellent job in organizing a perfect championship inviting Mr. Gyaneshwar Mudiraj, MLC Andhra Pradesh, President Hyderabad District Cricket Association and former Indian test player Mr. Karsan Ghavri.

Mr. Nabeel Ahmed 1st Vice President USACA, Dr Quadri and Dream cricket Sports were the main sponsors for the tournament.

Mr. Gyaneshwar appreciated the efforts of promoting cricket in the United States and presented mementos to Mayor Linda Jackson of Glendale Heights, Mr. Karsan Ghavri, Mr. Nabeel Ahmed, vice president of USACA, Mr. Iftekhar Shareef, president of FIA, Mr. Masood Chik, executive director of CER, Asif Hussain, Khurram Syed, Rafey Syed, Sohail Bari, and Shazad Ahmed board members of the CER. He praised and thanked all the dignitaries for their contribution towards promoting cricket in the United States. Mr. Gyaneshwar also visited Mayor McLeod of Hoffman Estates and presented him with a memento and discussed promoting cricket in the village.

Mr. Gyaneshwar encouraged young cricketers by giving out monetary awards to winners, runner-ups, and individual contributors. Mr. Masood Chik appreciated the audience for their continuous support to the Central East Region’s efforts in promoting cricket. Mr. Asif Hussain, president of ICMC league and board member of CER commended his team on winning the championship along with praises to all participating teams.
